As a descendant of an orphan train rider, an author, orphan train historian, and president of Orphan Train Riders of
New York, I am excited to have the railroads join with orphan trains!Railroads have always been tied to the history of the orphan trains and a group of rail historians and fans across America want to make a difference by providing train ride itineraries to orphan train riders and their families. Their collaborated effort brings our nations historical past foreword realizing individual journeys from the East Coast coursing throughout America where the children of the train encountered for the very first time new family homes.
You may contact the historians at[email protected]and discover the truly remarkable journey of your orphan train rider.
Sincerely,
Renée Wendinger
